On 6 July 2026, the Tablet4GoalBall project partners met at the Technical University of Crete to review the latest developments of the innovative tactile tablet designed to enhance accessibility for visually impaired athletes and spectators.
The meeting focused on evaluating the first prototype, discussing technical improvements, and defining the next development steps based on user feedback and practical testing.
A hands-on testing session was carried out with the participation of Erkki Miinala, President of the European Goalball Association (EGA), representatives of the Old Power Goalball Club, and representatives of Alma Sports Development. Their expertise and practical experience provided valuable recommendations for improving the tablet’s tactile interface, usability, and overall user experience.
The feedback collected during the meeting will play a key role in refining the technology ahead of the upcoming pilot activities in Germany and Greece.
